Specialty Business Manager (Gastroenterology Specialty Sales Team) โ€” Sacramento, CA (Virtual)

How you will contribute:
- Research prospective Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to identify customer stakeholders to present complex clinical and business information on products/services.
- Use insight and consultative selling to teach HCPs and offer perspectives linking to Takeda solutions.
- Engage in clinical discussions with HCPs on patientsโ€™ needs, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth in a geography; coach stakeholders and build consensus.
- Collaborate with partners on routing and resource utilization to maximize footprint performance.
- Strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed.
- Pursue learning and professional development on sales, communication, and product knowledge.
- Conduct business per regulations/policies with high ethical and professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (e.g., financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs).

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelorโ€™s degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to inform/influence decision makers.
- Ability to develop/apply clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred
- 5+ years in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience.
- Local marketing strategy execution; business/strategic planning skills; managed care understanding.
- Collaboration skills; experience with injectable/infused IBD products; complex reimbursement issues.
- Biological product launch experience; experience calling on Gastroenterologists.

Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driverโ€™s License.

Travel Requirements:
- Ability to drive/fly to meetings/client sites; some overnight travel (25โ€“50%).

Training Requirements:
- Contingent on passing mandatory product training with written/oral exams (initial non-exempt/overtime during training only; no sales incentives during training). Transition to exempt status after successful completion.

Compensation and Benefits (for U.S. CA Virtual):
- U.S. hourly wage range: $63.51โ€“$87.31.
- Eligible for short-term incentives; and may participate in medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time/year; up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires.
