Specialty Business Manager (Gastroenterology) โ Michigan (Virtual)
Responsibilities:
- Research prospective Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to identify customer stakeholders (e.g., Gastroenterologists) and professional/patient groups.
- Use insight and consultative selling to educate HCPs and connect their needs to Takeda solutions.
- Lead clinical discussions on patientsโ needs, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth within assigned geography; coach stakeholders and build consensus.
- Collaborate with partners on routing and resource utilization to maximize footprint performance.
- Strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings.
- Pursue learning and professional development (sales, communication, and product knowledge).
- Perform business in accordance with all regulations/policies; demonstrate high ethical/professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelorโs degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to influence decision makers.
- Ability to develop/apply clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience.
- Local marketing strategy execution; business/strategic planning; managed care understanding.
- Collaboration/team success.
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products; complex reimbursement.
- Biological product launch; calling on Gastroenterologists.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driverโs License.
Travel: Drive/fly to meetings and client sites; 25โ50% overnight travel.
Training: Completion of mandatory product training (written/oral exams) required; employment contingent on passing.
