Specialty Business Manager (Gastroenterology) β Hartford, CT territory (Virtual)
How you will contribute
- Research prospective HCPs to identify key stakeholders for complex clinical and business product discussions.
- Use insight and consultative selling to educate HCPs and connect perspectives to Takeda solutions.
- Conduct clinical discussions on patient needs; execute brand strategies to maximize sales growth in geography.
- Coach stakeholders, build consensus for solutions, and collaborate on routing/resource utilization.
- Independently and collaboratively strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings.
- Pursue ongoing learning and product/sales communication training.
- Conduct business per regulations/policies; maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office).
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device (or relevant clinical/industry) OR 2+ years selling at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies, develop/apply clinical and business expertise, and sell effectively.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close to assigned geography.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years related experience; local marketing strategy execution.
- Business/strategic planning; managed care landscape understanding.
- Team collaboration; experience with injectable/infused IBD products, reimbursement issues, biological launches, and calling on Gastroenterologists.
Other
- Valid Driverβs License.
- Travel: drive/fly; some overnight travel 25β50%.
Training Requirements
- Mandatory product training with written/oral exams; may be non-exempt during training; overtime eligibility only during training.
