About the Role:
The Dermatology sales force drives demand through education following potential regulatory approval. The Specialty Business Manager (SBM) educates healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizes business opportunities in dermatology-focused physician offices, clinics, and hospital accounts, using strong business processes to achieve sales goals.
How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education
- Conduct clinical selling and deliver clinical value propositions along an educational continuum
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff
- Coordinate clinical education (e.g., peer-to-peer) for HCPs
- Perform account management in dermatology practices, clinics, independent physician offices
- Achieve sales goals/metrics for the assigned territory; execute brand strategy tactically within customer segments
- Build relationships with decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement
- Present complex clinical and business information to dermatologists and relevant groups
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states/treatments
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, etc.)
- Follow compliance policies and training
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs (BA/BS)
- Required: 3+ years successful pharma/biotech/medical device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience OR 2+ years at Takeda
- Dermatology/Dermatologist calling experience highly preferred
- Strategic planning and managed care understanding
- Strong communication and collaboration; reside within/close to assigned geography
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs
- Dermatologist calling experience
- Complex reimbursement issue experience
Training/Licenses/Travel:
- Successful completion of mandatory product training with written/oral exams
- Valid driverβs license
- Ability to drive/fly to accounts; occasional overnight travel (up to 25β50%)
Compensation/Benefits (if applicable):
- Illinois (Virtual) hourly wage range: $63.51β$87.31; may be eligible for short-term incentives and select benefits.
