About the Role
- The Dermatology sales force drives demand following potential regulatory approval for the assigned product through education, educating healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizing opportunities in Dermatology-focused physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.
How you will contribute
- Support account on-boarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling, delivering the clinical value proposition and advancing customers through a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate and support clinical education opportunities (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Perform account management in Dermatology practices, clinics, outlets, and independent physician offices.
- Achieve sales goals and territory metrics (product volume and others) and execute franchise/company brand strategy in assigned customer segments.
- Build professional relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe and effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials.
- Execute local marketing strategies to build customer engagement and educate key decision makers.
- Present complex clinical/business information to Dermatologists and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states/treatments.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
- Follow Takeda compliance policies and seek clarification on compliance matters.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- BA/BS
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling (or relevant clinical/industry experience) OR 2+ years at Takeda
- Dermatology experience calling on Dermatologists (preferred)
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to market conditions
- Understanding of managed care landscape
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication
- Strong collaboration skills
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs
- Experience calling on Dermatologists
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues
Travel Requirements
- Drive/fly to accounts; occasional business meetings; overnight travel 25β50%
Training Requirements
- Contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams); non-exempt during training with overtime eligibility during training only; then transition to exempt status and eligibility for sales incentives/contests.
