About the Role
- The Dermatology sales force drives demand following potential regulatory approval for the assigned product through education.
- Educate healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimize business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts specializing in Dermatology.
- Specialty Business Manager (SBM) develops and applies business processes that benefit patients and achieve sales goals and objectives.

How you will contribute
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers along an educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education opportunities/programs (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Manage accounts in Dermatology practices/clinics and independent physician offices.
- Attain sales goals and territory metrics; execute franchise/company brand strategy and tactics.
- Build relationships with HCP decision-makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies; build customer engagement and educate key local decision-makers.
- Present complex clinical/business information to office and institutional Dermatologists and healthcare groups.
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states/treatments/business environment.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
- Adhere to Takeda compliance policies, guidelines, and training.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required
- BA/BS
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience, OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda
- Experience calling on Dermatologists highly preferred
- Strategic/business planning skills; adaptable to changing market conditions
- Understanding of managed care landscape
- Strong communication (verbal, influencing, presentation, written)
- Strong collaboration/team success
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography

Preferred
- 5+ years direct selling to healthcare professionals in pharma/biotech/device/healthcare (and/or relevant clinical/industry experience)
- Experience calling on Dermatologists
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues

Licenses/Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License

Travel Requirements
- Ability to drive/fly to accounts and occasional business meetings
- Some overnight travel up to 25–50%

Training Requirements
- Employment contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams)
- Training involves live instruction/independent study/role play (up to 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week)
- After passing exams: transitioned to exempt status
