About the Role:
The Dermatology sales force drives demand following potential regulatory approval for the assigned product through education. Educates healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizes opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts specializing in Dermatology. Specialty Business Manager (SBM) develops and applies business processes that benefit patients and achieve sales goals.
How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Perform clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers across an educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate and support clinical education opportunities/programs for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Conduct account management in Dermatology practices/clinics and independent physician offices.
- Attain sales goals/territory metrics by executing franchise and brand strategy/tactics within the customer segment.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials.
- Execute local marketing strategies; build customer engagement by educating key local decision makers.
- Present complex clinical and business information to Dermatologists and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs.
- Manage allocated resources (e.g., budgets, managed markets, medical affairs).
- Follow compliance policies, guidelines, and training; seek clarification when unsure.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- BA/BS
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda
- Dermatology experience/calling Dermatologists (highly preferred)
- Business/strategic planning; adaptability
- Understanding of managed care landscape
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, and writing skills
- Collaboration/team success
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs in pharma/biotech/device/healthcare and/or relevant clinical/industry experience
- Experience calling on Dermatologists
- Experience managing complex reimbursement issues
Training Requirements:
- Contingent upon passing mandatory product training (written and oral examinations).
