About the Role:
- Drive demand following potential regulatory approval for the assigned product through education.
- Educate healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimize business opportunities in targeted dermatology physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.
- Demonstrate excellence in developing and applying business processes that benefit patients and achieve sales goals.
How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers across a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education opportunities/programs for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Perform account management in dermatology practices/clinics and independent physician offices.
- Attain sales goals and territory metrics; execute brand strategy/tactics within the assigned customer segment.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement.
- Present complex clinical/business information to dermatologists and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
- Follow compliance policies and training; seek clarification when uncertain.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Dermatology experience/calling dermatologists (highly preferred).
- Strategic/business planning skills; adaptability.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, and collaboration.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to healthcare professionals (pharma/biotech/device/healthcare) and/or relevant clinical/industry experience.
- Experience calling on dermatologists.
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.
Training Requirements:
- Contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
- During training: non-exempt (overtime eligible) but not eligible for sales incentives/bonuses.
- Post-training: transitioned to exempt status.
