Role Overview:
Specialty Business Manager (SBM) for Dermatology—drive demand by educating healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizing business opportunities in targeted physician offices, clinics, and hospital accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers along an educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education programs (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Manage accounts in Dermatology practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Achieve sales goals/territory metrics via appropriate execution of franchise/company brand strategy.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers, support staff, and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using approved materials and clinical information.
- Execute local marketing strategies to build customer engagement and educate key local decision makers.
- Present complex clinical and business information to relevant audiences.
- Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs.
- Strategically manage allocated resources.
- Follow compliance policies and uphold patient-first standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling (or 2+ years at Takeda) OR relevant clinical/industry experience.
- Business/strategic planning skills; understanding of managed care.
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, writing; collaboration.
- Reside within or near assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs; experience calling on Dermatologists.
- Experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
Requirements/Other:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Travel: drive/fly to accounts; occasional overnight travel (up to 25–50%).
- Pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
