About the Role:
The Dermatology sales force drives demand following potential regulatory approval through education, educating healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizing business opportunities in targeted dermatology physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts. The Specialty Business Manager (SBM) applies business processes to benefit patients and achieve sales goals.
How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling activities and deliver the clinical value proposition.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate and support clinical education opportunities/programs for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Perform account management in dermatology practices/clinics and independent offices.
- Attain territory sales goals and key metrics; execute franchise/company strategy and tactics.
- Build professional relationships with customer decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using approved materials and reprints.
- Execute local marketing strategies; build customer engagement and educate key decision makers.
- Present complex clinical/business information to dermatologists and relevant groups.
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states and treatments.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (e.g., budgets, managed markets, medical affairs).
- Uphold patient-first values; adhere to compliance policies and training.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelorโs degree (BA/BS).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; or 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Dermatology/Dermatologists experience (highly preferred).
- Business/strategic planning; adaptability.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Strong communication (verbal, influencing, presentation, written) and collaboration.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs in pharma/biotech/device/healthcare.
- Experience calling on dermatologists.
- Experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
Training Requirements:
- Must pass mandatory product training (written and oral exams); during training, may be non-exempt and eligible for overtime (no sales incentives/production bonuses). After passing, transition to exempt status.
