About the Role
The Dermatology Specialty Business Manager (SBM) drives demand following potential regulatory approval through education. Responsibilities include educating healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizing business opportunities in targeted dermatology physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.
How you will contribute
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling; deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers along an educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate and support clinical education (e.g., peer-to-peer) for HCPs.
- Perform account management in dermatology practices, clinics, outlets, and independent physician offices.
- Achieve sales goals and territory metrics; execute franchise and brand strategy/tactics within assigned customer segment.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement through local education and relationships.
- Present complex clinical and business information to dermatologists and relevant groups.
- Develop/implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatment information.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, etc.).
- Follow compliance policies and training; seek clarification when uncertain.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful pharma/biotech/medical device selling (or relevant clinical/industry experience); OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Dermatology experience (highly preferred).
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability.
- Understanding of managed care.
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, and writing skills.
- Collaboration and teamwork.
- Reside within or close to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs.
- Experience calling on dermatologists (highly preferred).
- Experience with complex reimbursement issues.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to drive/fly to accounts; occasional meetings.
- Up to 25β50% overnight travel.
Training Requirements
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams). Training may include non-exempt status and overtime eligibility; eligibility for sales incentives/bonuses begins after successful exam completion.
U.S. Hourly Wage Range (Florida β Virtual)
- $63.51β$87.31
