How you will contribute:
- Support account on-boarding through education.
- Engage in clinical selling activities, delivering the clinical value proposition and advancing customers across a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate and support clinical education opportunities for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer education).
- Conduct account management in Dermatology practices, clinics, independent physician offices, and related outlets.
- Attain sales goals and objectives by delivering product volume and other key territory metrics; execute franchise/company brand strategy and tactics.
- Build professional relationships with HCP decision makers, support staff, and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials (including medical reprints).
- Execute local marketing strategies to enhance business results and build customer engagement.
- Present complex clinical and business information to Dermatologists and other decision-making audiences.
- Develop/implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states, treatments, and market changes.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
- Adhere to compliance policies, guidelines, and training; seek clarification when uncertain.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- BA/BS degree.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device (or relevant clinical/industry experience) OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Dermatology/Dermatologist calling experience highly preferred.
- Demonstrated business/strategic planning skills.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling experience to healthcare professionals.
- Experience calling on Dermatologists.
- Experience managing and communicating complex reimbursement issues.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to drive/fly to accounts; occasional business meetings.
- Some overnight travel (up to 25β50%) may be required.
Training Requirements:
- Employment contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
- During training: non-exempt, eligible for overtime only during training; not eligible for sales incentives/bonuses.
- After passing exams: transition to exempt status; no longer eligible for overtime; bi-weekly pay; eligible for sales incentives/contests.
