About the Role
- Drive demand through education for an assigned product following potential regulatory approval.
- Educate healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimize opportunities in targeted dermatology physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.
- Develop and apply business processes that benefit patients and achieve sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Support account onboarding and initial clinical/patient access education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers through a brand educational continuum.
- Coordinate clinical education (e.g., peer-to-peer) for HCPs.
- Manage Dermatology accounts across practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Achieve territory sales goals/metrics; execute franchise and brand strategy within assigned customer segments.
- Build relationships with decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement through relationship-building.
- Present complex clinical/business information and patient support services.
- Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states/treatments.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office).
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS.
- Required: 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling at Takeda.
- Business/strategic planning; understanding managed care landscape.
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, and writing.
- Collaboration/team success.
- Reside within or close to assigned geography.
Preferred
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs.
- Experience calling on Dermatologists.
- Experience with complex reimbursement issues.
