Role Responsibilities / How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Perform clinical selling: deliver the clinical value proposition and advance customers along a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education opportunities/programs for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer education).
- Conduct account management in dermatology practices, clinics, outlets, and independent physician offices.
- Attain sales goals and objectives by delivering product volume and other key Territory metrics; execute franchise/company brand strategy and tactics in the assigned customer segment.
- Build professional relationships with HCP decision makers, support staff, and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information, approved marketing materials, and medical reprints; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement through relationship-building and educating local decision makers.
- Present complex clinical and business information to dermatologists, healthcare professionals, and relevant groups.
- Develop/implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states, treatments, and business environment.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (e.g., budgets, managed markets, medical affairs).
- Adhere to compliance policies and training; seek clarification when uncertain.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (BA/BS).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Strong communication (verbal, influencing, presentation, written) and collaboration.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to healthcare professionals; experience calling on dermatologists.
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.
Travel:
- Ability to drive/fly to accounts; occasional overnight travel up to 25β50%.
Training Requirements:
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams); initial non-exempt status during training with overtime eligibility during training only.
