About the Role
- Drive demand following potential regulatory approval for the assigned product through education.
- Educate healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimize business opportunities in targeted dermatology physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.
- Use business processes to benefit patients and achieve sales goals/objectives.
How You Will Contribute
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Perform clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition; advance customers across a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient-access education for medical staff; coordinate clinical education (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Manage accounts within dermatology practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Attain territory sales goals/metrics; execute franchise/company brand strategy and tactics.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies; build customer engagement by identifying/cultivating relationships.
- Present complex clinical/business information to dermatologists and stakeholder groups.
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states/treatments/business environment.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
- Follow compliance policies and seek clarification when uncertain.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- BA/BS and 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling (or 2+ years at Takeda).
- Demonstrated experience calling on Dermatologists/Dermatology (preferred).
- Business/strategic planning; understanding managed care impact.
- Strong communication (verbal/influencing/presentation/written); strong teamwork/collaboration.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs; Dermatologist calling; experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
