About the Role
Dermatology Specialty Business Manager (SBM) drives demand through education following regulatory approval. Educates healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizes business opportunities in dermatology-focused physician offices, clinics, and hospital accounts.
How you will contribute
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Perform clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition; advance customers across a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education (e.g., peer-to-peer) for HCPs.
- Conduct account management in dermatology practices, clinics/outlets, and independent physician offices.
- Achieve sales goals/territory metrics; execute brand strategy/tactics within customer segments.
- Build relationships with decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messaging using approved materials and accurate clinical information.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement via education.
- Present complex clinical/business information to dermatology and other decision-making audiences.
- Develop/implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatments/market.
- Strategically manage allocated resources.
- Follow Takeda compliance policies and seek clarification when needed.
Minimum Requirements (Required)
- BA/BS; 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling (or 2+ years at Takeda).
- Dermatology experience calling on Dermatologists highly preferred.
- Strategic planning, managed care understanding, strong communication, teamwork.
- Live within or near assigned geography.
Preferred
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs; Dermatologist calling; experience with complex reimbursement issues.
Training/License/Travel
- Pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams); temporary non-exempt/overtime during training.
- Valid Driverβs License.
- Ability to drive/fly; some overnight travel (25β50%).
Compensation/Benefits (explicit)
- Michigan (Virtual) hourly wage range: $63.51β$87.31; short-term incentives and eligible benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and sick time/vacation.
