About the Role
The Specialty Business Manager (SBM) drives demand for a Dermatology product through education, building business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.

How you will contribute
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers along a brand educational continuum.
- Provide initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education opportunities (e.g., peer-to-peer) for HCPs.
- Manage accounts within Dermatology practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Achieve sales goals and territory metrics; apply brand strategy/tactics in assigned customer segments.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials.
- Execute local marketing strategies; build customer engagement through education.
- Present complex clinical/business information to office and institutional Dermatologists/HCP groups.
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatment and business changes.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, etc.).
- Maintain compliance with company policies and training.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- BA/BS
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling (or relevant clinical/industry experience) OR 2+ years successful selling at Takeda
- Dermatology/Dermatologist calling experience (highly preferred)
- Business/strategic planning; adaptability
- Understanding of managed care landscape
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, writing
- Collaboration in teams
- Live within or close proximity to assigned geography

Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to healthcare professionals
- Dermatologists calling experience
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues

Licenses/Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License

Travel Requirements
- Drive/fly to accounts; occasional overnight travel (up to 25–50%)

Compensation and Benefits (explicit)
- West Virginia (Virtual) U.S. hourly wage range: $63.51–$87.31
- May be eligible for short-term incentives and benefits such as medical/dental/vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and sick time/vacation.

Training Requirements
- Must pass mandatory product training with written/oral exams; training period up to 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week; may be non-exempt during training, then transitioned to exempt after successful completion.
