About the Role
- Drive demand following potential regulatory approval for the assigned product through education.
- Educate healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimize business opportunities in Dermatology-focused physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.
- Apply business processes that benefit patients and support achievement of sales goals and objectives.
How you will contribute
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers across an educational continuum.
- Provide initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education opportunities (e.g., peer-to-peer education).
- Perform account management in Dermatology practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Meet territory sales goals and key metrics; execute franchise and brand strategy/tactics within customer segments.
- Build relationships with decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement via relationship-building and education.
- Present complex clinical/business information to office and institutional Dermatologists and other decision-making groups.
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states, treatments, and business environment.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (e.g., budgets, managed markets, medical affairs).
- Uphold patient-first values and comply with all compliance policies/training.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- BA/BS
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling (or relevant clinical/industry experience), or 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Dermatology/Dermatologist calling experience highly preferred.
- Business/strategic planning skills; understanding of managed care.
- Strong communication and collaboration.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs.
- Experience calling on Dermatologists.
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to drive/fly to accounts; occasional overnight travel up to 25β50%.
Training Requirements
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams). During training: classified non-exempt and eligible for overtime only during training; not eligible for sales incentives/production bonuses. Training should be no more than 8 hours/day and 40 hours/week. After passing exams: transition to exempt status.
Compensation/Benefits (explicitly stated)
- U.S. hourly wage range: $63.51β$87.31.
