About the Role:
- The Dermatology sales force drives demand for assigned products through education following potential regulatory approval. Educates healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizes business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts in Dermatology. Specialty Business Manager (SBM) applies business processes to benefit patients and achieve sales goals.
How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers across a brand educational continuum.
- Provide initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education programs for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Perform account management in Dermatology practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Achieve sales goals and Territory metrics; execute franchise/company brand strategy and tactics.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messages using approved materials and accurate clinical information.
- Execute local marketing strategies; build customer engagement through relationships and education.
- Present complex clinical and business information to Dermatologists and other decision-making groups.
- Develop and implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatment and market changes.
- Strategically manage allocated resources.
- Follow compliance policies/training and uphold patient-first values.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Dermatology/Dermatologist calling experience highly preferred.
- Business/strategic planning; adaptability to changing markets.
- Understanding of managed care.
- Strong verbal, written, influencing, and presentation communication.
- Strong teamwork/collaboration.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to healthcare professionals.
- Experience calling on Dermatologists.
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.
