About the Role:
Specialty Business Manager (SBM) in Dermatology sales; drive demand via education after potential regulatory approval, educating HCPs and optimizing business opportunities in Dermatology-focused offices/clinics/hospital accounts.
How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers along an educational continuum.
- Provide initial clinical/patient access education for medical staff; coordinate HCP education (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Manage Dermatology accounts (practices, clinics/outlets, independent offices).
- Achieve territory sales goals/metrics; execute brand/franchise strategy/tactics within assigned customer segment.
- Build relationships with decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information, approved materials, and reprints; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies; build customer engagement and educate key local decision makers.
- Present complex clinical/business information to office and institutional Dermatologists/HCP groups.
- Develop and implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatments.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, etc.).
- Uphold patient-first values and comply with applicable policies/training.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- BA/BS degree.
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Dermatology/Dermatologist calling experience (highly preferred).
- Business/strategic planning; managed care understanding.
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, and collaboration.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct healthcare professional selling experience.
- Experience calling on Dermatologists.
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to drive/fly; occasional overnight travel (up to 25β50%).
Compensation & Benefits (location: Maryland - Virtual):
- Hourly wage range: $63.51β$87.31.
- Possible short-term incentives; may include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off/holidays, and up to 80 hours sick time; up to 120 hours paid vacation (new hires).
Training Requirements:
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams); no overtime eligibility during training; post-training transition to exempt status and bi-weekly pay.
