About the Role
Drive demand for an assigned product through education. Educate healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimize business opportunities in targeted Dermatology physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts. Build business processes that benefit patients and achieve sales goals.
How you will contribute
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Perform clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers along a brand educational continuum.
- Provide initial clinical/patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education (e.g., peer-to-peer) for HCPs.
- Conduct account management in Dermatology practices/clinics and independent physician offices.
- Achieve territory sales goals and key metrics; execute brand strategy/tactics in assigned customer segments.
- Build professional relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using approved materials and clinical information.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement.
- Present complex clinical/business information to office/institutional Dermatologists and other decision groups.
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budget, managed markets, medical affairs, etc.).
- Follow compliance policies and training.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful pharma/biotech/medical device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years selling at Takeda.
- Managed care understanding; strong communication, collaboration, presentation, and strategic planning.
- Reside within or close to assigned geography.
Preferred
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs; Dermatology calling experience.
- Experience managing/reviewing complex reimbursement issues.
Training Requirements
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral). External hires are non-exempt during training (overtime eligible only during training); then transition to exempt.
