About the Role
- The Dermatology sales force drives demand following potential regulatory approval through education, educating HCPs and optimizing business opportunities in dermatology-focused physician offices, clinics, and hospital accounts.
How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver the clinical value proposition and advance customers across a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate/support clinical education opportunities (e.g., peer-to-peer education).
- Perform account management in dermatology practices/clinics and independent physician offices.
- Achieve sales goals and objectives by delivering product volume and key territory metrics; execute brand strategy/tactics within the customer segment.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers, support staff, and other stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop/deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies and build customer engagement through local relationship-building and education.
- Present complex clinical/business information to dermatologists, HCPs, and relevant professional/patient groups.
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states/treatments and business environment.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
- Adhere to compliance policies/training and uphold patient-first values.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelorโs (BA/BS)
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device (or relevant clinical/industry experience), OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda
- Dermatology/Dermatologist calling experience highly preferred
- Business/strategic planning; adaptability
- Understanding of managed care landscape
- Strong communication, influencing, presentation, and collaboration
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to healthcare professionals (pharma/biotech/device/healthcare) or relevant clinical/industry experience
- Dermatologist calling experience
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues
Training Requirements:
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams)
Travel Requirements:
- Drive/fly to accounts; occasional business travel; overnight up to 25โ50%
Compensation and Benefits Summary (high level):
- U.S. hourly wage range: $63.51โ$87.31
