Role Summary
Specialty Account Specialist - Respiratory in Westchester, NY / New York, NY (Open). Territory includes Westchester County, NY, New York City and Southern Connecticut. Relocation assistance not provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
- Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify appropriate resources to refer customers for reimbursement and distribution choices, always working within GSK guidelines and values.
- Maintain knowledge and data related to severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
- Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
- Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
- Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
- Develop and implement account-specific strategies (e.g., Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, office managers).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
- Effectively manage allocated resources (financial).
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries and needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary, up to 30% overnight in some territories
- Valid driverโs license; ability and willingness to drive or operate a vehicle
- The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
- Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
- Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty products that utilize Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution modes
- Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
- Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory sales experience
- Experience selling in IDN systems
