Role Summary

Specialty Account Specialist - Respiratory in Madison/Milwaukee, WI. Territory includes Madison and Milwaukee; ideal candidate will live in Milwaukee or Madison. Relocation assistance is not provided. The role involves leading key activities, enabling career growth, and performing impactful work within the GSK Respiratory portfolio, focusing on specialist customers and strategic account execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
  • Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer to appropriate resources (e.g., Payer Relations Managers, HUB, approved materials) for reimbursement and distribution decisions in line with GSK guidelines and values.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
  • Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Develop and implement customer-specific strategies within an account (e.g., Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, office managers).
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other GSK functions.
  • Manage allocated resources (e.g., financial) effectively.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests and inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, up to 30% overnight in some territories
  • Required: Valid driver’s license; ability and willingness to drive or operate a vehicle (driving is an essential function)
  • Required: The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
    • Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
    • Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience.

Preferred

  • Specialty products using Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy distribution models.
  • Expertise with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
  • Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales experience.
  • Experience selling in IDN Systems.

Additional Requirements
