Role Summary
Specialty Account Specialist - Respiratory in Jacksonville, FL. This role focuses on providing scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product, understanding reimbursement and distribution landscape, and developing account-specific strategies to generate sales.
Responsibilities
- Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
- Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify appropriate resources to refer customers for reimbursement and distribution choices, within GSK guidelines and values.
- Maintain knowledge and data related to severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
- Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
- Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
- Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
- Develop and implement strategies specific to each customer within an account (e.g., Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, business/office managers).
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
- Effectively manage allocated resources (i.e., financial).
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries, and needs.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโs degree
- Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight travel up to 30%
- Required: Valid driverโs license; must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle โ driving is an essential function
- Required: The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
- Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
- Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty Products that utilize Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy distribution
- Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
- Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales experience
- Experience selling in IDN Systems
