Role Summary
Specialty Account Specialist - Respiratory - Jacksonville, FL. This role provides scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product, with responsibilities including understanding the reimbursement and distribution landscape, maintaining up-to-date therapeutic knowledge, delivering product education, and developing account-specific strategies to generate sales.
Responsibilities
- Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
- Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer to appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution choices within GSK guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge and data related to severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
- Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
- Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
- Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
- Develop and implement account-specific strategies for Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, and business/office managers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
- Effectively manage allocated resources (financial).
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary, up to 30% overnight in some territories
- Valid driver’s license; must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle
- The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
- Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
- Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
