Position Summary:
You will join the specialty respiratory team to support specialist healthcare providers across your territory, providing clear clinical education, navigating access and reimbursement, and building strong professional relationships.
Territory:
Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, and Flagstaff. Ideal candidate resides in Tucson, Arizona. (Relocation assistance not provided.)
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with specialist customers (pulmonologists, allergists, nurse specialists, practice managers).
- Deliver clear, evidence-based clinical education and support to specialist teams.
- Identify reimbursement and distribution needs and connect customers with appropriate support resources.
- Develop tailored account plans and tactics to drive patient access and service.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners (market access, medical affairs, marketing).
- Adhere to compliance and ethical guidelines in all customer interactions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience engaging specialty healthcare providers in respiratory or related therapeutic areas.
- Ability to travel domestically, including occasional overnight travel up to 30%.
- Valid driverβs license and willingness to drive as required.
- Grade-based experience:
- Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years pharmaceutical or medical device sales.
- Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years pharmaceutical or medical device sales.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution channels.
- Familiarity with payer reimbursement/market access teams.
- Background in biologic, rare disease, immunology, or respiratory/pulmonology specialty sales.
- Experience selling into integrated delivery networks (IDNs) or hospital systems.
- Infusion and specialty pharmacy experience.
- Ability to develop account plans and track measurable outcomes.
- Comfortable primarily remote role with occasional in-person/hybrid activities.
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
Work Arrangement/Location:
Primarily field-based with regular travel within an assigned territory; hybrid (remote work plus in-person customer engagement and office collaboration as needed).
