Position Summary:
Join the specialty respiratory team supporting specialist healthcare providers across your territory by delivering clear clinical education, navigating access and reimbursement, and building strong professional relationships.
Territory/Location:
- Covers Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, and Flagstaff. Ideal candidate resides in Tucson, Arizona.
- Relocation assistance not provided.
- Primarily field-based with regular travel within territory; hybrid (remote work + in-person customer engagement/office collaboration).
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with specialist customers (pulmonologists, allergists, nurse specialists, practice managers).
- Deliver clear, evidence-based clinical education and support to specialist teams.
- Identify reimbursement and distribution needs; connect customers with appropriate support resources.
- Develop tailored account plans/tactics to drive patient access and service.
- Partner with market access, medical affairs, and marketing.
- Adhere to compliance and ethical guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (accredited institution).
- Experience engaging specialty healthcare providers in respiratory or related therapeutic areas.
- Domestic travel ability, including occasional overnight travel up to 30%.
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to drive as required.
- Hiring levels: Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years pharma/medical device sales; Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution/channel experience.
- Payer reimbursement/market access team familiarity.
- Experience in biologics, rare disease, immunology, or respiratory/pulmonology specialty sales.
- Experience selling into IDNs/hospital systems; infusion and/or specialty pharmacy experience.
- Proven account planning with measurable outcomes; comfortable in primarily remote role with occasional in-person/hybrid activities.
- Strong communication and customer-focused mindset.
