Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
- Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer customers to appropriate resources (e.g., Payer Relations Managers, HUB, headquarters-approved materials) for reimbursement and distribution choices, following GSK guidelines and values.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and data on the treatment of Lupus and Lupus Nephritis.
- Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
- Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values.
- Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
- Develop and implement customer-specific strategies for accounts (e.g., Rheumatologists, Nephrologists, nurses, mid-levels, business/office managers).
- Build and maintain working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other internal functions.
- Effectively manage allocated resources.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree from an accredited institution.
- Domestic travel as necessary, up to 20% overnight in some territories.
- Valid driverโs license; ability/willingness to drive (driving is essential).
- Hiring level based on experience: Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years; Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years in pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution.
- Expertise working with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
- Biologic/Rare Disease/Immunology sales experience.
Work Arrangement:
- Primarily field-based with regular territory travel; hybrid (remote work plus in-person customer engagement and office collaboration).
