Role Summary

Specialty Account Specialist, Immunology, Dallas, Texas. The role involves providing scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product, managing reimbursement and distribution considerations, and developing account strategies within designated therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
  • Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify appropriate resources to refer customers for reimbursement and distribution choices, always within GSK guidelines and values.
  • Maintain knowledge and data related to severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
  • Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Develop and implement account-specific strategies for each customer (e.g., Rheumatologists, Nephrologists, nurses, mid-levels, business/office managers).
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
  • Effectively manage allocated resources.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests and inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including up to 30% overnight travel in some territories
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to drive or operate a vehicle
  • The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
    • Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
    • Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialty Products that utilize Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy distribution models
  • Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
  • Biologic/Rare Disease/Immunology Sales experience

Education

  • None specified beyond Bachelor’s degree in qualifications
