Role Summary
The Specialty Account Specialist, Immunology in Dallas, TX engages specialist customers to provide scientific knowledge, education, and business insight in support of GSK biologic products. You will develop account-specific strategies, manage resources, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize reimbursement and distribution. This role requires travel up to 30% and driving as an essential function.
Responsibilities
- Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
- Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify appropriate resources (e.g., Payer Relations Managers, HUB, HQ-approved materials) to refer customers to for reimbursement and distribution decisions, always working within GSK guidelines and values.
- Maintain knowledge and data about severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
- Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
- Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
- Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
- Develop and implement strategies specific to each customer within an account (e.g., rheumatologists, nephrologists, nurses, mid-levels, business/office managers).
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
- Effectively manage allocated resources.
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customers' requests, inquiries and needs.
Qualifications
- Required: Travel domestically as necessary, which in some territories may include overnight travel up to 30%
- Required: Valid driverβs license
- Required: Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle β driving is an essential function of this role.
- Required: The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
- Required: Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
- Required: Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience
- Preferred: Specialty Products that utilize the Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy modes of distribution
- Preferred: Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
- Preferred: Biologic/Rare Disease/Immunology Sales experience
