Role Summary
Specialty Account Manager, Referral KRYSTEXXA - Mobile, AL (Rare Disease)
Responsibilities
- Represent Amgen's Rare Disease products to Primary Care/FP/GP/IM, Podiatry, and Orthopedic physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Establish Biotech/Infusion product sales and increase referrals for appropriate patients to Rheumatology and Nephrology.
- Perform total territory account management and collaborate across sales teams to uncover unmet needs in the uncontrolled gout patient population.
- Provide account management support to PCP, Podiatry, and Orthopedic accounts focusing on patient identification, disease state education, and referrals to Rheumatologists and Nephrologists.
- Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed annual sales goals.
- Promote disease state awareness and value of the product to target customers; identify appropriate patient types for referral.
- Regularly communicate progress with SAM/ASD; maintain accurate territory activity reporting.
- Ensure compliant and ethical promotion of KRYSTEXXA per labeling and guidelines; adhere to Amgen compliance policies and PhRMA code.
- Build strong customer relationships and communicate customer needs to internal teams.
- Complete training and administrative duties timely; manage budget and resources to achieve goals.
- Attend medical congresses/meetings as needed and perform other tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or hospital sales; or
- Associate degree and 6 years of relevant sales experience; or
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant sales experience.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Buy and bill experience; biologic/biotech sales and reimbursement experience.
- Established customer relationships in primary care, podiatry, and/or orthopedic markets.
- Rheumatology and Nephrology experience preferred.
- Team collaboration across Commercial Operations; strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills.
- Approximately 30% travel; proficient in Microsoft Office; professional, proactive demeanor; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
