Role Summary
Specialty Account Manager, Referral KRYSTEXXA - Mobile, AL (Rare Disease)
Responsibilities
- Represent Amgen's Rare Disease products to Primary Care/FP/GP/IM, Podiatry, and Orthopedic physicians and healthcare professionals; establish Biotech/Infusion product sales; increase referrals for appropriate patients to Rheumatology and Nephrology; perform total territory account management.
- Collaborate with 2-3 Specialty Account Managers in Rheumatology and Nephrology sales teams to identify referral patients near KRYSTEXXA advocates and centers of excellence.
- Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed annual sales goals.
- Promote disease state awareness and value of the product to target customers; identify appropriate patient types for referral.
- Communicate progress with SAM/ASD; maintain accurate territory activity reports; provide feedback to sales, leadership, marketing, and other internal teams.
- Adhere to compliance policies and PhRMA/code guidelines; complete training; manage administrative duties; operate within budget; maximize use of resources.
- Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed; perform additional tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or hospital sales, OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience in same, OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience in same. - Preferred Qualifications:
Buy-and-bill experience; biologic/biotech sales and reimbursement experience; established relationships in primary care, podiatry and/or orthopedic markets; rheumatology and nephrology experience; strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills; approximately 30% travel; proficient in Microsoft Office; professional, proactive demeanor; strong interpersonal and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
