Role Summary
Specialty Account Manager, Referral KRYSTEXXA - Las Vegas (Rare Disease) β Territory covers Las Vegas, NV.
Responsibilities
- Represent Amgen's Rare Disease products to Primary Care/FP/GP/IM, Podiatry, and Orthopedic physicians and healthcare professionals; establish Biotech/Infusion product sales; increase referrals to Rheumatology and Nephrology; perform total territory account management.
- Collaborate with 2-3 Specialty Account Managers to identify referral patients near KRYSTEXXA advocates and centers of excellence.
- Develop a comprehensive territory business plan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual sales goals.
- Promote disease state awareness and product value to target customers; identify appropriate patient types for referral to treatment.
- Communicate progress with SAM/ASD; comply with labeling, legal, and regulatory guidelines; build strong customer relationships; meet or exceed sales goals.
- Maintain accurate territory activity reporting; provide feedback to sales, marketing, and other internal teams; adhere to compliance policies including PhRMA code.
- Complete training and administrative duties; manage promotional and operating budgets; maximize use of resources; collaborate across divisions; attend medical congresses as needed.
- Perform other tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelorβs Degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharma/biotech/medical device or hospital sales; or Associate degree with 6 years of such experience; or High school diploma/GED with 8 years of such experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Buy-and-bill experience; biologic/biotech sales and reimbursement experience; established customer relationships in primary care, podiatry, and/or orthopedic markets; rheumatology and nephrology experience preferred; strong teamwork and collaboration skills; strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills; travel approximately 30% (including overnight/weekend); proficient in Microsoft Office; professional demeanor; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
