Operations
The Specialist, Metrology ensures successful implementation of metrology strategies and serves as the SME for Metrology & Calibration. Acts as site representative for the CMC Product Supply global metrology process group and as point of contact between the line of business and Metrology Area Specialists. Ensures calibration specifications/methods comply with cGMP and site/corporate procedures; collaborates with NN Product Supply Quality.

Responsibilities:
- Drive creation/approval of site calibration specifications & methods.
- SME support for instrumentation (cal specs, problem solving, instrument selection, deviations).
- Coach technicians/staff on metrology training, problem solving, and improvements.
- Act as SME for metrology/calibration-related deviations.
- Lead improvements to calibration methods/standards/reliability/specifications.
- Standardize calibration specs/methods and Blue Mountain Ram calibration record keeping.
- Lead metrology initiatives; plan/execute larger/complex metrology activities and investment projects.
- Lead initiative to create an internal Metrology Lab; develop Calibration annual budgets.
- SME for audits/inspections preparedness.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree + 2+ years experience (or Masterโ€™s + 0+ years).
- Degree in engineering/science or equivalent education + metrology experience.
- Required: planning maintenance/calibration; investigating GMP calibration/instrument failures; preparing technical procedures; measurement instrumentation theory & method development; calibrating pharmaceutical/highly regulated instrumentation; working knowledge of cGMPs and site/corporate requirements.
- Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical calibrations/metrology; write technical documents; present technical info; Word/Excel; measurement uncertainty; handle competing priorities; systematic troubleshooting.
