Specialist II, Transportation

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Optimize movement of GMP and non-GMP materials across AbbVie network sites, contract manufacturers, contract testing laboratories, and external logistics partners; coordinate daily operations for shipment movements.
- Partner with Global Trade Compliance (GTC) on international import/export of materials.
- Schedule pickup/delivery and track shipments throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Manage CMO and internal stakeholder relationships to meet scheduling requirements.
- Ensure GXP compliance during transfer logistics; store and retain paper/electronic records per quality system requirements.
- Review and approve GXP-controlled shipment documents.
- Set up and retrieve temperature data for cold chain shipments and share per SOPs.
- Review inventory transactions for accuracy; advise/escalate logistics process/timing issues.
- Complete tasks in compliance with FDA, DOT, USDA, ISO, CLIA, and other QMS requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in Supply Chain.

Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication; interpersonal, organizational, quick-thinking skills.
- Experience with MS Office suite.
- Collaborative working style.
- Knowledge of cGDP guidance/regulations for transporting biological materials and hazardous goods.
- 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably transportation/logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, or related scientific/pharmaceutical field.
