Position Overview
- Lead the Elkton siteโ€™s energy and sustainability advancement within the Facilities Center of Excellence.

Core Responsibilities
- Develop and promote site energy and sustainability objectives aligned with corporate goals.
- Deliver site energy, emissions, and waste reduction strategies with internal/external stakeholders.
- Represent the site in above-site energy and sustainability forums.
- Serve as liaison between the site, utility providers, and government agencies.
- Manage energy/utility budgets (forecast to reconciliation) and collaborate to deliver accurate usage budgets.
- Develop business cases for energy/sustainability capital projects and expenses; partner with procurement on contracts.
- Integrate energy standards into project designs; coach capital project teams.
- Coordinate efforts to obtain LEED certification for new buildings and renovations.
- Analyze performance data; implement energy optimization measures.
- Use process engineering tools to evaluate process optimization ideas; audit processes to reduce energy.
- Explore emerging sustainability technologies.
- Partner to build sustainability awareness, present metrics in meetings, share best practices with vendors/suppliers/other sites, and support ad-hoc initiatives.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree or higher in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related.
- Required experience: 2+ years initiating/executing energy-saving initiatives in manufacturing processes and site infrastructure; proven project management; leadership, communication, and autonomous work.
- Preferred: Energy certifications (CEM/REP/EMP/ESC); GMP/FDA and EHS knowledge; regulated industry experience (pharma/biotech/food).

Required Skills (high level)
- Energy analysis/reduction, carbon footprint reduction, engineering design/standards, financial tracking, business case development, facility/project leadership.
