Sourcing Analyst

Role Summary

The Sourcing Analyst supports the Direct Materials sourcing team by assisting Category Managers with savings tracking, reporting, metrics, contracting, and supplier relationship management. This role collaborates with senior team members and reports to the Associate Director, Global Strategic Sourcing, Direct Materials within Global Business Services.

Responsibilities

• Performs analysis and reporting of savings tracking and category performance management; assists in developing procedures and tools and makes system updates as needed.
• Supports Category Management strategy planning by providing data analysis and preparing templates and reports.
• Establishes templates and reporting capabilities for Direct Materials Category Management in collaboration with team members.
• Assists in sourcing, negotiating, and contracting strategies to achieve category goals, following established guidelines and processes.
• Supports category implementation by contributing to the development of the sourcing strategy and ensuring alignment with defined criteria.
• Assists in supplier management activities (e.g., business continuity, risk, QBRs, forecasts review, capacity planning), ensuring appropriate oversight and input via established processes.
• Performs pricing updates and cost modeling to support business cases and what-if scenario building for category strategy development and sourcing efforts.
• Monitors market trends and supports market studies initiated by senior team members.
• Leads low-medium complexity events/projects in line with category segmentation under the direction of senior team members.
• Maintains information for assigned suppliers (forecasts, sourcing rules, and item information in Oracle).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a related role
• Enhanced data analytics skills ‚Äì ability to analyze spend, forecast, and external opportunities using MS Excel, Power BI, Business Objects, and Tableau
• Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing; direct materials category expertise preferred
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience negotiating contracts and commercial terms preferred
• Understanding of cost modeling and related tools
• Ability to work effectively across functions
• Ability to organize and analyze large data sets to draw conclusions
• Ability to gather information from internal and external sources to analyze and resolve issues
