SMA Family Access Manager - Austin/San Antonio, TX

Role: Patient Access Specialist focusing on rare disease therapies, serving as the patient-facing expert and liaison for internal teams. Responsibilities: support patients and families navigating treatment access, address logistical and reimbursement barriers, educate caregivers and healthcare providers, and advocate for patient needs through cross-functional collaboration with Market Access, Reimbursement, and Case Management teams. Maintain a deep understanding of payer policies, treatment sites, and the patient journey, while developing relationships with advocacy groups and stakeholders. Requirements: 5+ years in healthcare or biotech, with at least 3 years in account management, reimbursement, or field-based roles; experience with biologics, physician-administered drugs, and outpatient care; strong communication, empathy, and case management skills; BS degree mandatory, master's preferred; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
