Role overview:
The Associate Director Site Engagement develops, manages, and oversees long-term relationships with strategically important Oncology sites and institutions to create an optimal clinical trials environment and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct strategic environmental surveillance to anticipate regulatory/operational changes affecting US sites and R&D and design efficient partnerships.
- Build and expand a US site partnership network; serve as main point of contact between GSK and sites.
- Lead development/expansion of a US site network across academic centers, community practices, and emerging models (hybrid, DCT-enabled).
- Provide feedback to Leadership and Local Medical Affairs on partnership development and updates.
- Drive performance via mutually agreed KPI targets, periodic performance reviews, and action plans to reduce cycle times and optimize enrollment; participate in/lead site visits.
- Identify bottlenecks and risks to quality/compliance and implement mitigation plans and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Feasibility, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs to optimize site placement and study performance.
- Drive adoption of digital/centralized solutions (eConsent, eReg, remote SIVs, EMR-based ID, remote EMR monitoring).
- Provide strategic operational vision of future therapeutic areas/portfolio to external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic input for operational excellence and process efficiency; share best practices.
- Consider/develop unique site models to expand study site portfolio.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in life science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years’ experience in clinical research operations
Preferred:
- Up to 60% domestic travel
- Respiratory and/or hepatology experience
- Knowledge of drug development process and clinical study process (including monitoring)
- Track record establishing/growing strategic site/institution partnerships
Skills:

Benefits/Compensation:
- US base salary range: $129,750–$216,250; annual bonus; eligibility for share-based long-term incentive; health insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, and paid caregiver/parental & medical leave.
