Role: Field-based Sickle Cell Community Liaison (SCCL) responsible for patient education, engagement, and advocacy within the sickle cell community to support Novo Nordiskโ€™s Rare Disease portfolio. Responsibilities include building relationships with patients, caregivers, advocacy groups, and community organizations; delivering disease and product education; fostering patient-driven demand; understanding healthcare issues impacting the community; and developing strategic territory plans. The role involves coordinating policy initiatives, managing budgets and travel, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Requirements: Bachelorโ€™s degree (scientific preferred), minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare, advocacy, or pharmaceutical sales, with preferred background in sickle cell disease or specialty pharmacy. Fluency in Spanish is advantageous. The position entails 50-75% overnight travel, working evenings and weekends. High-value specifics include a focus on sickle cell disease, community engagement, patient advocacy, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The role reports to the Sickle Cell Community Liaison Leader and emphasizes relationship-building, communication, and strategic planning skills within the US market.
