Role Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is an integral part of our Manufacturing team based out of our US - Omaha, NE - Nutritionals site. The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and products in and out of the facility, demonstrating enhanced proficiency and taking on additional responsibilities to uphold operational efficiency and accuracy. This position requires an understanding of logistics processes, increased autonomy, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks with precision and efficiency, demonstrating advanced proficiency in inventory management systems and material handling.
- Take an active role in coordinating and executing shipping schedules, including freight planning and carrier communication to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ensure accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of inbound and outbound materials, identifying discrepancies, and resolving them promptly.
- Facilitate efficient organization of the warehouse by optimizing space utilization and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and resolve any emerging logistics issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within shipping and receiving operations.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to teamwork, integrity, and a passion for achieving operational excellence.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in production or warehouse operations
- Prior forklift experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other stakeholders
- Physically able to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly
