Senior Training Manager, Oncology
Responsibilities / Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver Oncology Training for commercial field representatives across disease states, products, sales effectiveness, market knowledge, and operations.
- Maintain subject matter expertise for disease states, products, and therapeutic areas.
- Develop and execute training programs with minimal guidance; design and enhance curriculum for Commercial needs.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Medical, and Regulatory to ensure medical accuracy and compliance with promotional policies.
- Manage vendors and contract requirements; perform project management for training content development.
- Lead training meetings (planning, logistics, vendor monitoring, participant conduct).
- Partner with Marketing and Commercial Leadership to align training with brand objectives and roll out materials to field colleagues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver effective, timely, relevant training.
- Support field sales via sales meetings and routine field rides; design and lead training work sessions at National Sales and POA Meetings.
- Assess training needs for clinical fluency and development competencies; provide feedback to drive innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience preferred.
- Training, Marketing, or Sales experience in pharma/biotech preferred.
- Knowledge of Heme Oncology (Multiple Myeloma preferred).
- Plus: experience creating tools to enhance clinical acumen; adult learning principles; facilitation skills expertise.
- Strong collaboration, professionalism, cross-functional project planning, communication, learning/problem-solving/interpersonal skills, and organizational/multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work in ambiguous/unstructured environments; self-motivation with minimal supervision.
- Highly desirable: AI/innovative technology platforms (iPAD) and MS PowerPoint/Word/Excel.
Location/Travel:
- HQ-based (preferred ABV1); remote possible with ~50% travel to HQ.
