Senior Training Manager, Oncology β responsible for developing and delivering Oncology Training for commercial field representatives. Work with training peers and global trainers to create training on disease, products, sales effectiveness, market knowledge, and operations for the Commercial organization.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain subject matter expertise for disease states, products, and therapeutic areas
- Develop and execute training programs with minimal guidance
- Design/enhance curriculum to meet Commercial needs
- Coordinate with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Medical, and Regulatory to ensure medical accuracy and promotional-policy compliance
- Manage vendors; perform project management during training development
- Lead training meetings (planning, logistics, vendor monitoring, participant conduct)
- Partner with Marketing and Commercial Leadership for brand-aligned training and rollout
- Influence and lead without authority via cross-functional collaboration (Marketing, Sales, Market Access, etc.)
- Collaborate with external partners and partner company colleagues to align training strategy/tactics
- Act as a resource for field sales (participate in sales meetings and routine field rides)
- Design/lead training work sessions at National Sales and POA meetings
- Assess training needs for clinical fluency and development competencies
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience preferred
- Training/Marketing/Sales experience preferred
- Heme Oncology knowledge (Multiple Myeloma preferred)
- Adult learning principles, training design concepts/platforms (plus); developing clinical-acumen tools (plus)
- Strong collaboration, professionalism in cross-functional environments, ability in ambiguous settings, strategic insight
- Exceptional oral presentation/executive communication; strong learning/problem-solving/interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational/multi-tasking; self-motivated with minimal supervision
- Highly desirable: AI and innovative technology platforms (iPAD) and MS Office (PowerPoint/Word/Excel)
Location/Travel: HQ-based; preferred ABV1; remote possible with 50% required travel to headquarters.
