Join Johnson & Johnson as an experienced Senior Trademark & Copyright Counsel to lead a global intellectual property function supporting MedTech businesses.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance, enforcement, and copyright and internet/domain name matters.
- Lead and manage a team of trademark and copyright professionals; optimize workflows and develop talent.
- Partner with marketing and business stakeholders to provide proactive, strategic legal counseling.
- Direct contentious proceedings before courts, trademark offices, and other government agencies worldwide, including outside counsel management.
- Support commercial initiatives and transactions, including due diligence and drafting/negotiating agreements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; admission to and in good standing with at least one state bar.
- 10+ years of trademark and copyright experience, including clearance/prosecution and client counseling/education.
- Extensive knowledge of domestic and international trademark, copyright, and internet/domain name laws and processes.
- Strong collaboration and independent work; ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- In-house and healthcare (medical device/pharmaceutical) experience preferred; prior people leadership experience preferred.
