Senior Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology (Northern New Jersey territory)

Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Gilead products/services to a defined customer base; achieve/exceed sales targets in assigned geographic area via in-person and face-to-face meetings.
- Build strong relationships with healthcare practices; deliver disease awareness information, clinical updates, and relevant healthcare changes.
- Communicate/synthesize complex clinical concepts appropriately for diverse audiences; strong presentation and communications.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan; monitor sales progress and create action plans.
- Prepare territory budget plans (customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events, and other external expenditures).
- Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and internal teams; may co-promote with external partners.
- Identify/resolution of issues and opportunities; proactively communicate with marketing and sales management.
- Report adverse events per required guidelines; complete administrative duties (call activity/customer info, expenses, etc.).
- Follow regulatory/commercial compliance requirements and company business ethics.
- Influencing/relationship-building to drive sales outcomes; continuous learning of technical/scientific product information.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School (11+ years) or Associate (9+ years) or Bachelor (7+ years) or Master (5+ years).
- Regular travel within territory; ability to meet onsite visitation requirements (e.g., screenings/vaccinations as required).
- Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS; 4+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare sales.
- Strong selling skills in competitive markets; track record meeting/exceeding objectives (specialty markets preferred); product launch experience.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated): Salary range $153,935.00–$199,210.00; may be eligible for discretionary bonus/long-term incentives; paid time off; company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
