Job Description (Senior Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology) — Northern New Jersey territory

Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Gilead products/services to a defined customer base; generate/grow sales and achieve/exceed sales targets within the assigned geographic area.
- Establish strong relationships with healthcare practices to deliver disease awareness information and clinical updates; synthesize complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan; monitor progress and create action plans.
- Prepare territory budgets for customer contacts, educational grants, speaker events, and external expenditures.
- Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and other internal teams; may co-promote with outside partners.
- Report adverse events to Drug Safety/Public Health per guidelines; complete required administrative reporting and expense submission.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, corporate policy, and Gilead values.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma + 11+ years; OR Associate’s + 9+; OR Bachelor’s + 7+; OR Master’s + 5+.
- Regular travel within territory; satisfy onsite visitation requirements (e.g., vaccinations/drug/background screenings if applicable).
- Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS; 4+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare sales; superior selling skills in competitive markets; track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (specialty markets preferred); prior product launch experience.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated): $153,935–$199,210 salary range; may be eligible for bonus/long-term incentives; paid time off; company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
