Job Title/Role: Senior Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology (Northern New Jersey territory)
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Gilead’s products/services to a defined customer base; generate and grow sales to consistently achieve/exceed targets within the assigned geographic area.
- Provide in-person/f2f representation with healthcare practitioners; establish relationships to deliver disease awareness information, clinical updates/education, and healthcare changes.
- Synthesize complex clinical concepts at appropriate literacy levels for diverse audiences; use strong presentation and communication skills.
- Develop and implement a territory business plan; monitor sales progress and create action plans; meet customer needs and sales goals.
- Prepare territory budget plans for customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
- Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and other internal teams; may co-promote with outside partners.
- Identify/resolution of issues and opportunities; proactively communicate with marketing and sales management.
- Report adverse events per internal guidelines.
- Perform required administrative tasks (call reporting, customer information, expenses, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to commercial compliance and applicable regulations/laws.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma + 11+ years, OR Associate’s + 9+ years, OR Bachelor’s + 7+ years, OR Master’s + 5+ years.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel regularly within assigned area and meet onsite visitation requirements (as applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS.
- 4+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience.
- Superior selling skills in competitive markets.
- Track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (preferably specialty markets).
- Prior product launch experience in highly competitive environments.
