Job Description:
As a Senior Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology, you represent Gilead products and services to a defined customer base and generate/grow sales by consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets within Northern New Jersey through in-person, face-to-face meetings with healthcare practitioners. Establish relationships with healthcare practices to provide disease awareness information, clinical education updates, and healthcare changes. Synthesize complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences and use strong presentation/communication skills. Develop understanding of issues/opportunities unique to the geography.

Key Responsibilities:
- Understand Gilead and competitor products and disease state complexities.
- Promote appropriate use of Gilead products per Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
- Model peer compliance and ethical conduct.
- Build and execute a territory business plan; monitor sales and create action plans.
- Prepare territory budget plans (customer contacts, educational grants, speaker events, other external expenditures).
- Partner with Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Therapeutic Center Specialists, Marketing, and other internal teams; may collaborate with outside partners.
- Identify/resolution issues and communicate with marketing and sales management.
- Demonstrate commitment to Inclusion & Diversity efforts.
- Report adverse events per required guidelines.
- Complete administrative tasks (call reporting, submitting expenses, etc.).
- Follow regulatory and company policies and values (Teamwork, Excellence, Accountability, Integrity).
- Use influencing/relationship-building skills to drive sales outcomes.
- Stay current on technical/scientific product information.

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma + 11+ years; OR Associate + 9+; OR Bachelor + 7+; OR Master + 5+.
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned area.
- Meet onsite visitation requirements (e.g., vaccinations, drug/background screening) if applicable.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree.
- 4+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience.
- Strong selling skills in competitive markets.
- Track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (preferably specialty markets).
- Product launch experience in a competitive environment.
