Role Summary
Senior Therapeutic Specialist — Eugene, OR. Represent Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base within a specified geographic area, focusing on generating and growing sales through account management, in-person engagement with healthcare practices, and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships and engage healthcare providers across touchpoints, maximizing the impact of Gilead's products.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan; monitor sales progress and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Maintain deep understanding of products and disease states; promote appropriate use to healthcare professionals in compliance with guidelines.
- Collaborate with local cross-functional colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience across access, acquisition, administration, and operational support.
- Collaborate externally with healthcare organizations and partner companies, including co-promotion efforts, to expand product reach and drive sales results.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships to support cross-department collaboration.
- Model and uphold compliance standards and ethical behavior; ensure adherence to applicable laws and company policies; timely reporting of adverse events.
- Perform required administrative tasks, including reporting call activity, submitting expenses, and managing territory budget.
- Demonstrate continuous learning of technical and scientific product information and stay updated on industry trends.
- Work autonomously, aiming to surpass personal goals and exceed performance standards.
- Sell Buy-and-Bill products with proven sales success.
Qualifications
- Required: High School with 11 years of experience or Associate's Degree with 9 years, or Bachelor's Degree with 7 years, or Master's Degree with 5 years of experience.
- Ability to travel as reasonably required within the assigned area; onsite visitation requirements for healthcare practitioners as applicable; valid driver's license.
- Preferred: BA or BS degree; 7+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare sales experience; proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives; experience selling injectable physician-administered products; familiarity with managed care landscape.
